Linda J. Sundin

Linda Sundin of Carmel Indiana passed away unexpectedly March 22, 2026.

Linda Jean Sundin (Curl) was born July 15, 1960 to Herbert and Catherine Curl of Indianapolis. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1978. She attended Indiana University where she met her future husband Damon Sundin. They were married December 26, 1980 at Beck Chapel on the campus of Indiana University. She relocated to the Detroit area, graduating from Walsh College with a B.S. degree in Accounting. She worked for Burroughs/Unisys until their family’s relocation to Indianapolis in 1993. She worked at Anthem and later American Health Network, rising to the position of Chief Financial Officer where she retired in 2022.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Damon Sundin, son Eric Sundin (Rachel), daughter Jamie Sundin of Arlington Heights IL, her sister Susie (Jim) Butler, and nephews Jake Butler (Amy), Joe Butler (Brandi), and Andy Butler (Mabel), as well as great nephews, great niece, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents Herb and Katie Curl and several aunts and uncles.

She enjoyed IU basketball (and now IU football), reading, crocheting, and genealogy. She was a warm, caring, funny, wonderful person, who was loved and treasured by her friends and colleagues. She will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known her.

Funeral Services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home, Carmel Indiana on Thursday March 26, 2026. Visitation starts at 11:00 am with service at 12:30pm. Interment will be followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN.
