Franklin, Indiana - Linda Lou Miller (Hoff), age 87, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Walter and Lillie (Knight) Hoff.
Linda attended Warren Central High School, where she met the love of her life and formed friendships that she cherished throughout her life.
A woman of strong and steady faith, Linda was a devoted member of St. John United Church of Christ for over 50 years. She loved being part of Bible study, singing in the choir, and participating in church activities and mission trips. Her faith guided the way she lived each day, always with a servant’s heart and a quiet generosity toward others.
Linda was known for her warmth, kindness, and the way she made people feel truly seen and cared for. She had a special gift for making others feel at home. She loved animals, especially dogs and wild birds, and her rural home became a safe haven for many stray dogs over the years.
She found joy in gardening and surrounding herself with flowers, loved antique shopping, and took pride in creating a home that was both beautiful and welcoming. After months of determination and training, she even completed the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, something she was very proud of.
Linda was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family meant everything to her, and she showed that love in countless ways. She traveled with her sons to horse shows near and far, always cheering them on, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved to support and spoil.
She married Larry D. Miller on June 15, 1958, and together they built a life filled with love over 57 years before his passing in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Hoff.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Lana), Mark (Paula), and Gary (Jody); her grandchildren, Jason (Erin), Ryan (Kristin), Brittany (Jake), Brian (Kelsey), Nick (Diana), Erin (Nick), Jeff; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Danny Ferris, along with numerous extended family members.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11 am to 12 pm at St. John United Church of Christ, 11910 E. Prospect St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46239, with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm. Please join us after the service for food and fellowship.
A private family burial will take place later that afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Her love, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
