Linda Lee Lewis DeMartino

Linda DeMartino passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on Sunday May 24, 2026. Linda was born July 21, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to William Irestone and Gertrude Lewis who preceded her in death.

Linda was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and was part of the Madrigal Singers. Linda had a beautiful voice and after graduation was offered a spot as part of Starlight Musicals in Indianapolis. She loved music and in addition to singing was an excellent pianist. She was taught by her mother Trudy. Her daughters remember many evenings playing underneath the baby grand piano listening to beautifully played classical music, favorites being Claire de Lune and Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto. In the 1970s after moving to Ft. Wayne, IN Linda was hired by a local advertising agency to be the Maloley’s grocery spokeswoman for their television commercials and was referred to around town as the Maloley’s lady. Upon moving to Connecticut she worked for Otis Elevator Company and was tapped to be the female voice of the first voice automated Otis elevators.

Linda was a loving mother and doting grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren whole heartedly and was a picture of grace, love and kindness to everyone she met right up until her last day on this earth. Linda is survived by her sister Rita Lewis Grau, daughters Kathleen Miller and Jennifer Partlan and grandchildren Erin and Liam Partlan.
