Linda Sue Clancy, age 85, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2026. She will be greatly missed by the many people who love her. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, and she always said that her family was her greatest accomplishment in her life. Linda was a strong woman of faith, and it was her faith that she turned to that carried her through the last months of her life. Linda and her husband, Bob, founded Emerson Bindery in 1974 and together they grew it into a very successful business that they were very proud of. Linda enjoyed spending time reading, watching Colts and Notre Dame football, her favorite TV shows and loving on her dog Molly.
Linda is survived by her children, Shawn Clancy, Joe (Linda) Banayote, Rob (Julie) Banayote; Michelle (DJ) Lacluyse, Stepchildren Cynthia (Don) Hughett, Victoria (Gary) Goins, Robert (Jenny) Clancy; Kim Smith, Amber (Aaron)Laird, 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, sister Barbara, brother Dan, and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bob Clancy, parents, John & Virginia Knapp, and brother John Kanpp.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8th at Flanner & Buchannon 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis from 11:00-12:00 with service at 12:00 and Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
