Linda Charlene (Young) Mahoney

Linda Charlene (Young) Mahoney of Plainfield, IN passed away June 30, 2018 at Life’s Journey in Avon, IN. She was 84 years old, born August 7, 1933 in Flint, MI. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Curtis Oster. Linda grew up in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and she always loved being by the water. She worked many years as a cake decorator for Marsh Supermarket in Plainfield, IN. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, volunteering with Salvation Army, camping and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Mahoney and Liesa Stanford. Sister Geraldine Neva, grandchildren Yvonne Mahoney, Terra Madsen and Troy Stanford. Great grandsons Zane Zimmerman, Tyler McCarty, and Knox Madsen. Niece Suzanne Kaefer, nephews Ron and Doug Neva, and Rodney Root. Grandson-in-law Chris Madsen.

Preceding her in death were her husband Donald Alvin Mahoney, sister Carmen Root, and son-in-law Fred Stanford.

Burial will be in the West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
