Linda K. Button was born on April 3, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Tom and Kay Whitcomb. Seven and a half years later she welcomed her only sibling, Mark. The family grew up on the North side of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Linda was a member of the first Senior class graduating from the brand new North Central High School building in 1964. She then attended and graduated from Approved Beauty College and began as a hairdresser in a shop located in Broad Ripple, Indiana.
Linda married her high school sweetheart, Jack Aldrich, and they purchased their first home where they raised their two sons. When Jack returned home from his tour in Vietnam, he became a CPA and worked for a grain research company.
Linda remarried and then relocated to Tucson, Arizona with her two children where she established a home and beauty shop business on the east side of Tucson.
In 1993, Linda married Dale Button and moved to the open spaces of Corona de Tucson, Arizona. There she opened Corona’s Cut Above Hair Salon and managed a successful hair and nail enterprise for the next fifteen years before retiring.
Dale and Linda began travelling the United States living the full-time RV life. They both loved travelling as well as the lifestyle. Dale passed in 2017.
Linda was a wonderful daughter, sister, loving wife, and mother. She always put the needs of others first and was a giving person to all that needed. Art was one of her favorite pastimes, and she liked to paint murals in her homes and businesses. She also enjoyed many musical artists. Karen Carpenter, Johnny Mathis, and Percy Faith Orchestra Christmas songs were among her favorites.
Linda had many close friends during her lifetime that were very important to her, and she cherished the time they spent together.
Linda believed deeply in her Christian faith and always enjoyed attending church services with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her two children, Jim and Bryan, along with her grandchildren, Colin and Lauren, and her great-grandchildren: Jayden, Malik, and Anais, who she loved dearly.
