Lillian Adams, 87, Greenwood, passed away May 14, 2013. She was born February 15, 1926 in East Chicago, IN to Wilbur and Malta Hamilton. Lillian had been a manager for AT&T and had been active in the Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of Eastgate Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Lillian enjoyed gardening, baking, crafts, sewing, and travelling. She loved her family and had a special affinity for children. Lillian worked with her daughter caring for preschool children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Adams, and a grandson, Andrew Miller. Lillian is survived by her daughters, Susie Schachte (Harry) and Anita Weaver; her grandchildren, Bob Miller (Sheila), Jennifer Walker (David), and Ken Schachte (Jamie); her great-grandchildren, Victoria Scanlan, Cole Miller, Ethan Miller, Lauren Miller, and Riley Schachte; and her niece, Madonna France. Services will be on Friday, May 17 at 2:30 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Friday from 12 PM until service time. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Eastgate Christian Church, 8100 E. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
