Lewis Dean Esenwein

Lewis Dean Esenwein 82, of Brownsburg, IN passed away in the comfort of his home on October 02, 2017. Lewis was born January 22, 1935 in Wakarusa, IN. Lew served our country in the US Army in Korea for 3 years, returning home to attend Tri State University. He graduated in 1960 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. After graduation he moved to Newton, CT to work for Sikorsky Helicopters. Eventually returning to IN., Lew then began work with Allison Gas Turbine and Rolls Royce. Lew is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Shirley Joan (Longfield) Esenwein, his son Jeff (Tammy), granddaughters Gretchen (Greg) Betz and Carley Esenwein and his sister Jeannette Esenwein of Elkhart. Private services are scheduled for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Marion County or Hendricks County Humane Society.
