Leona D. Thompson

Leona D. "Onie" Thompson Age 79 of Indianapolis died Wednesday, August 29, 2012. She was born December 16, 1932 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Leona spent 25 years as a cook at the American Legion in Indianapolis and was known for her cooking country wide. She was an outdoors girl who enjoyed fishing and always stayed true to her North Dakota roots appreciating the simple things in life. Leona is survived by her husband of 46 years, Emmert "Gene" Thompson and son Robin Merle of Auburn, CA. In honor of Leona's wishes, private services are being held.
