Leo Osborn, 93 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on December 4, 1927 in Owensburg, IN to the late Verdie and Susie Osborn. After serving in the U.S. Army, including a 10-month tour in Japan, he then attended Indiana University for two years. Leo went on to be the plant superintendent at Cummins Allison Inc. He retired after 48 years of dedicated service. He was a long time-time member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church as well as a member of the Englewood Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges. Leo loved spending time with his family. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of over 71 years, Joyce; sons, Steven E. (Cindy) Osborn, and Charles Osborn; daughter, Cindy (Thomas) Angrick; grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, Laura, Jim, Jennifer, Chris, Christie, and Alicia; 14 great grandchildren; one future great grandson, and 3 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday September 9, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229), where a Masonic Service will begin at 6:30 pm. Additional visitation will be held on Friday September 10, 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
