Lena Jane Mccorkle

Lena "Jane" (Rutherford) McCorkle, 89, Brownsburg passed away October 29, 2014 in her home. Jane was born April 9, 1925 in Tampa, FL, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Virginia (Morgan) Rutherford. Jane worked for Western Electric as an inspector and retired in June 1985 after 35 years of employment. A wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend, Jane is survived by daughters Judy (Mike) Doades and Diana (Jim) Ward and son, Ronald McCorkle; grandchildren, Benjamin and Michael Ward and Melissa (Ward) Turner; Cory (McCorkle) Pohlberg and Bryan McCorkle; Matthew Doades and Lena (Doades) Lambeth; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Max McCorkle and all her siblings. A memorial mass will be held on Friday November 21st, 11:00 AM, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3354 West 30th street, just east of Lafayette Road in Indianapolis. A celebration of her life will follow after mass at the church.
