Leland Russell Cramer, passed away on March 12, 2022 at the age of 59 after losing his battle with cancer. Lee, as he was commonly known, was born in Toledo, OH on July 28, 1962 to parents, Robert G. and Mary Jo (Williams) Cramer. He graduated from Woodward High School (Toledo, OH) and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State. Lee served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy on the USS Salt Lake City. After his military service, he held many different positions including working as an Electrician, Computer Network Administrator and Telecommunications Architect.
Lee loved music, learning to play the piano, bass guitar, and trombone. He enjoyed being out on the waters of the Great Lakes where he grew up sailing, fishing, and even ice boating. He was a huge history buff leading to many family “discussions” about whose team he would be on. Lee loved to cook especially on the grill for family gatherings.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cramer and his son, Robert “Robbie” Cramer.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Luann (Rutkowski) Cramer, whom he married on August 8, 1980. Also surviving are his loving mother, Mary Jo Cramer; adored daughters, Amy Shaw and her husband Scott, Jackie Lazdins and her husband Marcel, and Katie Kable and her husband Justin; his grandchildren, whom he treasured, Madi Cramer, Ella Kable, Meredith Kable and Walter Kable; his beloved sister, Lindsay Kubicki and her husband, Dennis; and many other loving extended family members and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 2nd at the Woodland Springs Clubhouse (3535 E 116th St. Carmel, IN 46033), where a gathering will begin at 12 Noon with services immediately following at 1pm. Luncheon to follow.
