Lee Tackett

Lee F. Tackett Sr., 83, Indianapolis passed away Nov. 10, 2014 at his home. He was born July 24, 1931 in Chicago, IL son to Leo O. and Frances Tackett. Lee had worked for Ziegler Mining Company as a miner for many years. He served honorably in the United States Navy during Korea and Viet Nam. He enjoyed gardening, had a green thumb, fishing and would do anything for anyone. Lee is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Lee F. Tackett, Jr., Terry Melton, Ellen (Gordon) Gawthorp, Tracey (John) Maguire, and Lisa Tackett; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Jackson and brothers, Edward (Sandra) Tackett and Ross (Tracy) Tackett. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Baylus Tackett and a sister, Lea Ann Tackett. Services will be Nov. 14, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd.
