Lee Walter (Jake) Foster passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014. Born February 16, 1927 to Oval (Polly) and Mattie Foster. Lee was lifelong Zionsville resident and served his country as a Staff Sergeant in WWII. Coming home from Germany he married his wife of 53 years Marilyn Markland. He worked at Rock Island Refinery for 35 years, raised his family, and upon retirement took over his dad's little town hauling business. He was an absolute rock to all; family, extended family step family and friends. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and served on the Zionsville Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and son Brent, parents Oval (Polly) and Mattie Foster, and cousin/sister Bonnie Kenipe, Diana Kenipe, Pam (Kenipe) Cavin. In 2003 he married Lois Regenstein of Brazil, Indiana and gained a whole other large step family. His main hobbies and interests in life were taking care of his many roses, and enjoying being surrounded by family and friends. In turn, his life was rewarded by being loved and cared for by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons Kevin, Greg, and Steve, his (cousins/sisters) Sunny (Kenipe) Johnston, Joyce (Kenipe) Vadbunker, and niece, Diane Elmore. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, his step children Ken Mauer, Robert Mauer, Fritz Mauer, Mary Beth Garrigus, Aaron Rugenstein, Lee Ann Senoussi, and their children and grandchildren.
