Lee was always smart, an honor student, highly valuing education and seeking advancement and a better quality of life. After graduating from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, he went on to earn a law degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Lee was passionate about practicing law, working as a public defender and with other private practitioners before opening his own practice. Lee also ran for Marion County Judge in 2000.
