Leamon B. “L.B.” Champion Jr. 95 of Danville, IN passed away on Tuesday June 04, 2024. L.B. was born on August 11, 1928 in Cleveland County, N.C. to Leamon B. Champion Sr. and Lula (Philbeck) Champion. L.B. served our country in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. From there he worked for the V.A Hospital as an X-Ray technician and he also worked for Willoughby Industries. He had a very strong work ethic. He was a very faithful follower of God and worshiped at Kingsway Christian Church, Chapel Rock Christian Church and Plainfield Christian Church where he grew in his faith journey as a Christian. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He married the love of his life Eula Dell (Estes) Champion and they were married for 72 amazing years. L.B. is preceded in death by his siblings, Ralph, Kenneth, and Vance Champion and Geneva Blackwelder, and Elizabeth Inge. Calling will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway from 10-11 am with the funeral service at 11 am. L.B. is survived by his loving wife, Eula D. Champion, two children, Dennis L. (Teresa) Champion and Carol (Craig) Blanton, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Burial with Military Honors will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
