Lawrence Paul Boles

Lawrence Paul Boles passed away on August 27, 2022. He was born on July 12, 1941, to his parents Morris and Helen Theckla Boles in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a loyal employee to Chrysler Automotive and retired from there after 40 years. After retirement, he went on to work various different jobs that he really enjoyed. He delivered flowers for Post Road English Garden Florist, as well as sold newspaper subscriptions for the Indy Star. He would often times sell subscriptions out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or at Colts games.

While he was in high school, he met the love of his life, Dixie Miley. They would be married in 1962 and would have three children together. They were married for 54 years before her passing in 2016.

Lawrence was a fun loving and playful soul. He was always on the move, whether it was attending sporting events or hanging out with his friends. He had a special group of friends that he would meet every single day at McDonalds. He also played Bingo every Tuesday. Some of his favorite activities included attending Indianapolis Indians games, especially with his kids when they were younger.

Lawrence was a loyal friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children; Howard Boles (Diane Lill), John Boles, and Angie (Gary) Madden, his cousin; Sandy Spencer, 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and lots of longtime friends.

He is preceded in passing by his parents; Morris and Helen Theckla Boles, his loving wife; Dixie Boles, and his sister; Marilyn Boles.

Funeral Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. The visitation will be from 11am to 2pm, with the service starting promptly at 2pm.

Lawrence will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery following services.
