Lawrence M. "Larry" Ballantyne, 67, of Indianapolis passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Larry was born in Detroit, Michigan to John M. and Jane (Bamford) Ballantyne on August 30, 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1966–1969. He was a member of American Legion Post #495. He was the co-owner of Associated Right-of-Way Services, Inc. and provided consultant services as a land acquisition specialist for INDOT and other local governmental agencies throughout Indiana. He enjoyed fishing and boating, and most of all, his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Darlene (Curran) Ballantyne, daughters Heather (Brian) Christian and Jessica Ballantyne, brothers John Ballantyne and Bill (Donna) Ballantyne, grandchildren Madison and Hannah Christian, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects on Friday, January 16th with visitation from 4-8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Memorial Park, and on Saturday, January 17th with service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Center followed with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
