Lawrence Earl Bridget Indianapolis, Indiana, passed July 18, 2014 at the age of 89. Survived by wife, Rebecca (Love) Bridget. Father of: Michael, Daniel, Joanne, Timothy and Margaret. He leaves 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother of Lewis and Robert Bridget. Served with the 5th Amphibious Marines from 1943 to 1945. World War II veteran of Tarawa, Tinian, Saipan and Iwo Jima. Loving husband, father and hero to his family. We thank him for his service. Our freedoms were bought by his personal sacrifice and those of the greatest generation. You will be in our hearts forever, Poppi. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur 5463 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur. Burial with military honors will follow at West Newton Cemetery.
