Lawrence Becker

Lawrence Joseph Becker, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015. He was born on May 16, 1943 in Florence, KY as one of 11 children to Alfred O. and Marianna (Bernstein) Becker. Lawrence was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as an Aircraft Engine Inspector for Allison General Motors and Rolls Royce from 1979-2010. He attended St. Christopher Catholic Church and was an avid woodworker, gardener and fisherman. Lawrence also enjoyed bowling, camping and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Sue (Crusemeyer) Becker; children, Sherri (Rob) Glass, Kristi (Mick) Howe, Nick (Vickie) Becker; grandchildren, Paige Becker, Evan Glass, Lauren Glass, Tyler Howe and Nicole Howe. Lawrence is also survived by 5 sisters and 4 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Joseph Becker; brother, Louis Becker. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2-5pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00am in St. Christopher Catholic Church. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL at a later date.
