LaVonia M. 'Bonnie' Woods Jones

LaVonia "Bonnie" M. Jones 71, passed away February 2, 2012. She was born in Indianapolis on April 4, 1940 to the late Gus and Carrie Woods. Survivors include children; Major Jones Jr, Brent (Britta) Jones, Gary (Rochelle) Jones, Brian Jones, Tony (Allison) Jones, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Melvin Woods, Rodney Woods, Gloria Darden and Fern Grundy. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gus, Jerry and Keith Woods. Bonnie was a graduate of Crispus Attacks High School. She loved gardening and styling hair. She was employed with Firemen's Insurance, Mayflower Moving and her latest employer, Corrections Corp of America. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. with visitation two hours prior at the funeral home.
