Lassie R. Potts (1924-2021)

Lassie Potts, age 96, passed away at The Waters in Greencastle, IN on June 7, 2021. She was born October 2, 1924, the daughter of John B. Reecer and Cora B. Reecer.

Lassie married Jerry J. Potts on September 27, 1982, who predeceased her in death on September 3, 1998.

Lassie was a housewife most of her life who loved gardening and cooking. She was a fantastic cook who loved to cook for her friends and family. She also loved to dance and was always the life of the party.

Lassie is survived by one biological daughter, Barbara A. Myers (Rudy) from Greencastle, IN; two stepsons, Matt Potts and Andy Potts from Indianapolis, IN; one brother, William B. Reecer from Gallatin, TN; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Lassie was predeceased in death by her husband, Jerry J. Potts, her parents, six brothers, two sisters, and one stepson.

Lassie will be missed by much-loved friends and family of all ages, and her precious little friend, Peanut (a little dog at The Waters).

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park directly followed by a Graveside Services at Floral Park Cemetery.
