Larry Wayne Hook, Sr.,

68, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017.  He was born on January 4, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Delbert M. and Ruby Marie (Hulen) Hook.  Larry attended Beech Grove High School, but left early to go to work and help support his family.  He married Carolyn Faye Alderson on September 17, 1966 and they celebrated 51 years of marriage together.  Larry helped to support his growing family by driving a truck for many years; family was the most important thing in his life.  He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn “Bettle” Hook; children, Larry Wayne Hook, Jr., Delbert “Red” Hook (Linda Kern), Mike Shawn Hook, Sr. (Marty Ann), Kimberly Harvey (David) and Shelley Hook; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Larry is also survived by brothers, Donald L. Hook, Harry J. Hook and Garry L. Hook.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Hook.  Visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.  Funeral services will take place the following morning at 11am, also at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery immediately following.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
