Larry R. Hammond 73 of Indianapolis passed away September 26, 2012. He was born on October 6, 1938 in Indianapolis to Clarence and Dorothy Heil Hammond. He lived in Indianapolis all his life, working for Pepsi Cola as a Route Salesman for 37 years where he became a member of the Million Mile Club, an honor given by the National Safety Council. Larry was a kind, loving, generous person who loved people, loved to tease, laugh and make others laugh. He enjoyed fishing, reading and working puzzles that he would glue together, frame and give as gifts. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, Judy, he is survived by his children, Christopher (Kelly) Hammond and Sherryl (Hank) Wegener, Guy Hammond, Rick (Susan) Hammond and Ken (Michelle) Hammond, his nine grandchildren, Kelly, Paige, John, Jason, Mallory, Erika, Connor, Megan and Jack and one great-grandson, Xavier. Donations may be made in Larry's name to Parkinson's Awareness Association of Central Indiana, Inc., 4755 Kingsway Dr. #333, Indianapolis IN 46205 (www.paaci.org). Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Funeral Center. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
