Larry Ray Lord

Larry Ray Lord 80, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Saturday November 3, 2012. He was born June 20, 1932 in Scottsburg, IN. Larry was an Insurance Salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for over 30 years. He was a Deacon at Linwood Christian Church and was past President of the Washington High School Alumni Association. Larry was a great cook and enjoyed working in his yard. He will be remembered for his giving spirit, he would do anything for his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 60 years, Martha" Marty" Stalcup Lord; children, Stephen (Lorri) Lord, Leslie (John) Lord Dalton, Scott Ray (Jeanette) Lord and John (Christy) Lord and eleven grandchildren Larry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Hubert and Opal Briner. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday November 8, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Linwood Christian Church, 4424 E Michigan Street Indianapolis, IN 46201.
