Larry L. Carroll, 81, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, August 21st, 2021. He was born March 6th, 1940 in Anderson, Indiana to parents AJ Carroll and Lois (Funkhouser) Jarrett.

He graduated from Madison Heights high school in 1958.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His love for flying continued beyond his Air Force service, and he maintained his pilot’s license throughout his life.

On March 31st, 1979, he married the love of his life Sandy Cook. They shared 42 wonderful years together.

He retired from Allison’s and had several jobs throughout his life, all revolving around his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.

Larry was handsome, funny, smart as a whip, a hard worker, could fix or build anything, never knew a stranger, and he loved music and movies. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Carroll; daughters Melanie (Andrew) Kerschbaum, Vicki (Jeff) Moore, Tammy (Mark) Gaskill, Shelly (Kevin) Wethington; grandchildren Luke Kerschbaum, Logan Kerschbaum, Gage Kerschbaum, Sierra Carroll, Cheyenne Carroll, Sierra Toumanian, Mark Gaskill, McKayla Gaskill, Madison Gaskill, Matthew Gaskill, Mackenzie Gaskill, Mirabella Gaskill, and Brooklyn Wethington; great-grandchildren Elijah, Jayden, Colton, and Olivia; sisters Patty (George) Gosnell, Janice Carroll; brother David Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. The family is planning a Celebration of Life on September 25th, 2021.
