Larry D. Sullivan, 74, passed away September 7, 2021, at Community Hospital East. He was born March 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN to John A. Sullivan and Marguerite L. Sullivan (Long).
Larry graduated Washington High School, Class of 1966. Following school, he was drafted to Boot Camp for 3 weeks before discharge. Having a hard childhood, his desire was to have a family and children. His presence was silent yet he was the anchor to our marriage. His hobbies included bowling, watching the kids grow, watching TV, movies, word search and friends. He loved bowling so much, he did it every day many times until he went to work. Within 6 years, he met his wife, Pamela J. Sullivan (Morelock) at Putt-Putt in May 1972 and married on December 29, 1972. During that time, he worked for Western Electric as a telephone exchange installer for 10 years. He also worked for 25 years with Mechanics Laundry/Progress Linen. Retired at age 50, he became the home sitter.
He is preceded in death by his father, John. He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Sullivan, his children, Rebecca L. Sullivan, Brian A. Sullivan, Adam B. Sullivan and Jonathan D. Sullivan and 6 grandchildren, James Q. Sullivan (adopted Benjamin D. Klett), Alison J. Sullivan, Jazmine N. Sherrill, Desmond M. Sherrill, Daniya R. Sullivan and Gabriel A. Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 2-4pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 9401 E 25th St. in Indianapolis, IN. Flowers and cards accepted in lieu of attendance
