Larry Dale Dawson

Larry D. Dawson, 67, Carmel, passed away November 5, 2011. He was born June 11, 1944 in Greensburg, IN, the son of Harold Junior and Margaret "Tody" (Barnard) Dawson. Larry graduated from Butler University and served four years in the United States Army with the Army Security Agency, in which 1 1/2 years were served abroad. He founded Envoy, Inc., a project and construction management firm that services schools and communities throughout Indiana. Larry was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. He was a founding member and life-long supporter of the Central Indiana Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Harold Junior Dawson. He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Bonnie M. (Carlson) Dawson; his daughter, Anne Dawson Jutt (Mike); his son, Michael K. Dawson (Mollie); his grandchildren, Abby, Adam, Mia, and Will Jutt and Charlie and Claire Dawson; his mother, Margaret Dawson; and his sister, Karen Dawson Lane (Mark). A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9 from 4-7 PM at the funeral center. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Central Indiana Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
