Lambert Lewis "Lew" Landwer, 85 of Indianapolis was born December 13, 1928 in LaPorte, Indiana to Ben and Lillie Landwer and passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Indianapolis. He grew up in LaPorte and graduated from IU Bloomington with a Bachelor's Degree and later in life earned his Master's Degree from the IU School of Social Work. He served in Guam while in the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Marion County Juvenile Court as a Social Worker. In his spare time, Lew enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Dee Landwer, his children, Michael (Pam) Landwer and Larry Landwer, grandchildren, Brian (Mary) Landwer, Steven (Brittany) Landwer, Opal (John) Iles and Mary Landwer as well as great-grandson, Ethan Landwer. His sister-in-law, Ruby Landwer and nieces, Jacie Voss and Janet Waite also survive him.
