Lainie K. Paul, 44 of Carmel, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. Lainie was born February 22, 1971 In Jonesville, Michigan. She was a graduate of Indiana University/Purdue University-Ft. Wayne, where she was a member of the baseball and volleyball teams all four years.
Lainie owned and founded the Brockway Public House in Carmel and Danny Boy Beer Works in the Village of West Clay. She was a member of Carmel United Methodist Church and an avid supporter of the Carmel Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon at Carmel United Methodist Church, where family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday from 11am until the time of the service. Following the service, a wake will be held at the Brockway Pub beginning at 1:30 pm.
Lainie is survived by her husband, Kevin of 20 years; sons, Brock Boyer Paul and Leyton Anthony Paul; mother, Sandra Lee Smith; father, Gilbert Ross Smith; Step Mother Cindy Smith; brother, Jeff Smith; sister, Sena Kleinbrink; in-laws, Susan and Dennis Paul; brother-in-law, Kristopher and Andrea Paul; sister-in-law, Karleigh and Alan Ziehm; nieces and nephews, Trevor and Tara Ziehm and Avery and Kallen Paul.
Lainie was proceeded in death by grandparents Lee and Jean Boyer of Coldwater, MI and Tom and Helen Smith of Hillsdale, MI
