L. Donald Chanley

May 26, 1928 — February 27, 2017

L. Donald Chanley, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passedaway on February 27, 2017, after a fall and subsequent illness. Predeceasing him was his beloved wife, Geneva(Ginny) Reel Chanley; sisters, Blanche Zeluff, Beulah Cox, Helen Craig, nephew,Gary Craig and step-daughter, Teresa Dykman. He leaves behind his four beloved granddaughters, Jill Ripper, TracyShelley, Jaime Zentz, Kelley Kendall; stepson, David Decker; nephew, KennethSharp; nieces, Patricia McDaniel, Lynne Pumphrey, Linda Bailey, Rosemarie Grau,Teresa Wilson; and his faithful four-legged buddy, Dexter.

Don graduated from Washington High School in 1946, ButlerUniversity in 1952, was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, an army veteran, andspent his 40 year professional career in sales with Aero Drapery retiring in1992. He was an avid golfer, enjoyedButler Bulldogs, University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, and Florida Gators ballgames.
