In loving memory of Konstantinos "Gus" Geroulis, who passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on May 24, 1944 in the village of Steno (Tripolis), Greece, Gus lived a life marked by love, adventure, and an indomitable spirit.

Gus' journey began in the rustic beauty of Greece, where he completed his education before embarking on a new chapter in the United States in 1963. Joining his sisters Mary, Georgia, and Stacey, Gus brought with him not only the warmth of his homeland but also his unwavering determination and a heart full of dreams. Gus’ brothers, George and Spiros, soon journeyed to America, where the family was reunited. It was in 1969, in the serene setting of Steno, that he married the love of his life, Kathy Gargalionis, beginning a beautiful union that would span 56 years. Together, they settled in the Indianapolis area, cultivating a life rich with love, family, and community.

A proud veteran, Gus was an active member of the US Army from 1967-1969, a testament to his dedication and patriotism. After his military service, Gus' entrepreneurial spirit flourished. He successfully operated several businesses, including a nickel-plating business, a tailor shop, and most notably, the cherished Acropolis restaurant. For nearly 30 years, Gus and Kathy welcomed patrons like family.

Gus was a man of many talents and interests. His garden was a testament to his nurturing nature, a place where he found peace and joy. Later in life, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, who absolutely adored their beloved Papou. Vacations to the beach and Greece were treasured times, filled with laughter and the creation of lifelong memories. Known for his infectious smile and a knack for finding a good bargain, Gus was a friend to all. His wisdom and willingness to lend a hand were gifts to those around him, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity. He made friends wherever he went, frequently sharing stories of his time in the Army and love of Greece, each interaction leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Gus is preceded in death by his parents, Demetrios Geroulis and Eleni Geroulis, daughter Eleni Geroulis, and siblings; Mary Kostarides, Spiros Geroulis, Georgia Derziotis, and George Geroulis. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kathy, his sons Demetrios (Carrie) and Nikos (Tracy), and his cherished grandchildren Alex and Elena, step-granddaughter Alayna, his sister Stacey Apostoles, and many nieces and nephews. His family and friends will continue to honor his memory and carry forward his legacy of love and resilience

As we bid farewell to Gus, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many with its warmth and grace. His legacy will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, Papou.
