Kimberly Kay "Kim" Klota

Kimberly “Kim” Klota, 62, passed away September 15, 2023.

Kim was born May 2, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana to Thomas G Klota (deceased) and Shelia A. Klota. She resided in Sarasota, Florida, Newport Beach, California and Indianapolis, Indiana.

She graduated from North Central High School in 1979 and received a bachelor’s in Telecommunications in 1985 from Indiana University, Bloomington.

In California, Kim was a National Sales Manager in the Computer Products Division of Fuji Photo Film. She was married to David Szary, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister Karla Klota Thompson (Carl) Greenfield and her mother Shelia Klota Indianapolis.

With over a 51-year battle with type 1 Diabetes she received the Journey award from Eli Lily.

Kim’s wishes were to be cremated and her cremated remains will be buried in a private ceremony.
