It is great sadness that we announce Mr. Kim Van Le, 96, passed away July 4th, 2026. He was born January 1st, 1930, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Kim grew up in Cambodia, and when he was a young man, met the love of his life Thiet Tran. Kim and Thiet married, moved to Vietnam and later, to the United States.

Kim worked as a chef at China Palace for many years, a career he enjoyed until retiring.

He and his family were valued members of St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years.

Kim was a hardworking, loving gentleman. He was a talented bowler in his early years, and he enjoyed fishing. He took pride in his home, and his lush vegetable and flower gardens. He was an excellent cook, and his family always looked forward to his dishes. Devoted to his family, Kim adored spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

Kim is survived by his children Jessica Le, Phuoc Tran, Vivian Le (Thanh Lam), and Hieu Le; grandchildren Andre Loveall, Nick Pham, Victor Pham, Natalie Lam; great-grandchildren Cayden Loveall, Houston Loveall, Sawyer Loveall, Camilla Loveall, Lennox Loveall, Alizé Loveall, and Valley Loveall.

Visitation for Kim will be Thursday July 9th, at Flanner Buchanan Geist (7855 Cork Rd Indianapolis, IN 46236), from 5-9pm. His Catholic Mass will be Friday July 10th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1401 S Mickley Ave Indianapolis, IN 46241) at 9am followed by cremation.

In lieu of flowers or donations to the family, please consider making a memorial contribution to Saint Joseph Catholic Church (1401 South Mickley Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46241).
