IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keymanee "Key"
Rippy
November 8, 2002 – December 20, 2025
Keymanee Katrell Rippy, lovingly known to all as “Key,” was a bright light whose life was filled with love, ambition, and deep purpose. On December 20, 2025, that light was tragically taken from us, leaving behind a heartbreak that words can hardly express and a void that will never be filled.
Keymanee was born on November 8, 2002, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Walter Max Rippy III and Marissa Ann Cunningham. From a young age, it was clear that Key carried something special—his vibrant spirit, determination, and genuine love for his family were evident in everything he did.
Keymanee meant many things to many people: a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and uncle. Above all else, he was a proud and devoted father to his precious one-year-old daughter, Kasani Kaoir. She was his heart, his motivation, and his greatest joy. Everything Key did was with her in mind, and his love for her showed through his constant efforts to provide, protect, and be present.
Sports played a big role in Keymanee’s life. He began playing little league football at Tabernacle, later continuing with the Ravens and Spartans. As he grew older, he also developed a strong love for basketball. Competitive by nature, Key carried his passion for sports throughout his life and found joy in sharing that love with his younger brothers, always encouraging them to push themselves and have fun.
Keymanee was always striving for more. He balanced school, work, sports, and family with a level of responsibility well beyond his years. He worked throughout most of high school and proudly graduated from Fishers High School. After graduation, with guidance from his uncle Dailon Rippy, he pursued a career in HVAC, a path that quickly became a passion. Starting at DEEM as a PM Technician, Key’s dedication and work ethic helped him advance to Service Technician in just over a year. He earned his universal license and was completing his final year of schooling toward his journeyman license. Those who worked alongside him admired his reliability, his eagerness to learn, and his willingness to step up whenever help was needed.
Key had a way of pulling people toward him without even trying. His smile could light up a room, his laughter was contagious, and his sense of humor made even the hardest days feel lighter. He showed up for people, always dependable, always willing to help, and always offering encouragement when it was needed most.
His family was at the center of Keymanee’s world. Growing up surrounded by 11 siblings and bonus siblings has helped shape him into the patient, caring, and loving father, son, and brother he became. He treasured time with his brothers and sisters, whether that meant playing games, friendly competition, or simply sharing laughs. Being present for his family was never a chore, it was who he was.
Keymanee is lovingly survived by his parents, Walter Max Rippy III, Marissa Ann Cunningham, and Tiana Rose Rippy. He leaves behind his cherished siblings: Walter Rippy IV, Lateanna Smith, Sequoia Smith, Anesia Rippy, Frank Rippy, Kamari Rippy, Karter Cunningham, Laiah Rippy, Kingsten Rippy, Karsen Rippy, and Kairo Rippy, along with his beloved bonus sisters, Anita Rippy and Alexis Rippy. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Keith Cunningham and Theresa (Myron) Atkins, and his paternal grandparents, Walter Rippy Jr. and Anita Hudgins. Bonus Grandparents Gary and Tina Mitchell. In addition, he leaves behind a loving circle of aunts, uncles, Jaylen, Corey, and Amaiya Wilson and many other cousins who will always cherish his memory and the joy he brought into their lives.
There was truly never a dull moment with Keymanee. He lived unapologetically as himself, spreading joy, love, and laughter everywhere he went. While his time here was far too short, his legacy lives on through the memories we hold close, the love he gave so freely, and most importantly, through his beloved daughter, Kasani Kaoir.
