Kenneth William Goyins, age 80, died on Monday, January 30th, 2017 at St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. Kenneth was born December 28th, 1936 to William and Helen (Steinberger) Goyins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kenneth graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1954. He served in the United States Army for two years stationed in Spokane, Washington. Kenneth retired from General Motors: AC Delco in 1991, after a lifetime career as an accountant. He enjoyed spending time with his family and rejoicing in the simple pleasures of a day on the lake on his houseboat. In 1972, Kenneth moved to Indiana where he met his lifetime partner, James Hornick, in Indianapolis. He and James opened a small flower shop called The Emporium in several Indianapolis area locations. Kenneth and James married on September 6th, 2015 and have celebrated 43 enduring years of love and happiness. Kenneth is survived by his husband, James; daughter, Michele Sink; son-in-law, Shawn Sink; grandsons, Paul McDonald III, Ryan McDonald and daughter-in-law, Leah McDonald; granddaughter, Kaylee Sink; and newly born great-grandson, Adam McDonald. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Geri Goyins. Funeral services for Mr. Goyins will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11am at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
