Kenneth W Shearer, Sr.
Ken died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011. He now is, again, residing with his wife of 70 years, Betty, who preceded him in death.
Ken spent his Life in Indianapolis and, after Graduating from Butler University, joined P R Mallory & Co. rising in responsibility to head all International Operations and expanding their International Business exponentially.
Ken also served in the United States Navy during WW II.
In his leisure years, her served the Community by assisting Small Businesses with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives, affiliate of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce). He also played an active role in his Church, St. Christopher Episcopal Church, serving as not only the Treasurer but also as a Lay Eucharist Minister. He and Betty were stalwart attendees at the early morning Sunday Services.
He is survived by three children; Ken, Jr. (Cheryl), Tom (Cindy) and Pam Rexroat (Terry); Grandchildren; Tracy, Lisa, Aaron, Jeff, Kim, Todd and Scott and five Great Grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Ellie, Noah and Elizabeth.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Christopher Episcopal Church, 1402 W. Main Street, Carmel, Indiana at 11:00 AM, August 13, 2011 with calling one hour prior.
Entombment will follow in the St. Christopher Columbarium.
In lieu of Flowers, the Family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Christopher Memorial Fund.
