Kenneth T. White

Kenneth T. White, 92, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away February 2nd, 2023.

He was born in Madison, West Virgina, November 4th, 1930, to parents Ben and Gladys (Barnett) White.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, on the USS Beatty, during the Korean Conflict.

On April 24th, 1954, Ken married the love of his life, Aurora Prado. After 68 years together, they were still very much in love, as many of the staff of their Senior Living Apartments often noticed and commented.

Kenneth was a hardworking, kind gentleman. He worked 40 years as a switchman for Indiana Bell/SBC/ATT/Ameritech.

Kenneth was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed many years as a yellow shirt/Gold Badge, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month of May.

Kenneth grew up in a large family and also raised a large family.

He is survived by his wife, Aurora; children Dean K. (Sue) White, Dee M. (Steve) Strong, Christina M. (Dennis) White, and Kenneth “Drew” (Angela)White; Six grandchildren: Brett (Alesha) Strong, Angel White, Taylor Strong, Paige (Bruce) Oberdorf, Nick Kinder, and Madeline White; Five great-grandchildren: Maycee, Bailey, Carter, Liam, and Charlotte; Siblings Robert White, Carol Cossell, Joyce Meyers, Betty Gail Bruton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents; his son Wm Brett White, and daughter Janelle Kinder; brothers Ben, Keith, and Dorsel White, and two sisters Erma Woody and Pauline Spencer.

Visitation for Ken will be Friday, February 10th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East from 12-2pm. His funeral will begin at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
