Kenneth Stoddard

September 1, 1944 — December 7, 2023

Westfield

Kenneth L. Stoddard, 79 of Westfield, passed away at his home Thursday, December 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born September 1, 1944 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Lyle F. and Sadie Maxine Stoddard. He was a US Army veteran, serving in the 11th Air Assault Division.

Ken was head of security at the Delta Faucet facility in Carmel, retiring in 2021 after 30 years. After retirement, he worked at Lowes as a part-time cashier. Ken was a family man; enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ken never let someone stay a stranger for too long. He was such a warm, caring soul, and never let someone pass by without at least a “Hello” or a “You be careful now!” and a chuckle.

He will be remembered by many by his colorful life stories and his fervent, genuine love for his kids and grandkids. Everyone loved Ken because Ken loved everyone, and no one could take that away–not even death.

Ken and his family always had a cat or a dog around. They put a goofy smile on his face, and an honorable mention to his yellow lab Hattie and Boston terrier Bitsy is deserved.

As someone who loved people, he found solace in traveling as well. He spent lots of time going across the U.S.

Private family services will be held.

Ken is survived by his wife Donna Joyce Stoddard; children, Kenna J. (husband, Ralph Carie) Johnson, Kevin J. Stoddard, Suzanne E. (husband, Jim Tutora) Coffin; grandchildren, Camille Wheeler, Haley Coffin, Joseph Coffin, Kate Coffin, Sarah Johnson, Chase Stoddard, Dylan Stoddard, Alexandra Stoddard; great grandchildren, Hunter Wheeler and Miles Stoddard. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Johnson.
