Kenneth R. Freeman

Kenneth R. Freeman, 81, of Speedway, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011. He was born on January 18, 1929 in Bedford, IN to Clyde W. and Emma G. (Bennett) Freeman. Kenneth was a graduate of Bedford High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked in auto parts sales for Car Quest, for 36 years. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wyoma G. (Flynn) Freeman; children, Kenneth D. (Denise) Freeman, Susie (George) Neal and Cindy (Doug) Smith. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren, Erica Freeman, Ryan Smith, Katie Smith, Rachel Neal; and great-grandson, Gabriel Rivers. Kenneth was preceded in death by both his parents; and siblings, Helen Sumners, Robert Freeman and Dale Freeman. Funeral services for Mr. Freeman will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Speedway on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 6pm. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services. Burial will take place in the White River Baptist Church Cemetery, Buddha, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
