Kenneth Persinger

Kenneth D. Persinger 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 6, 2015. Ken was born on April 25, 1943. He was a 1962 graduate of Cathedral High School. He had worked for Citizens Gas for 33 years, retiring in 2000, then worked for Christ the King Catholic Church, again retiring in 2012. He was an Army veteran and a member of Christ The King Catholic Church and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Shawn "Sherry" Cooning Persinger; children Jon (Evelyn) Persinger and Beth (George) Van Meter; grandchildren Samuel and Isabella Persinger and Grant Van Meter; siblings Sheila Baker, Thomas (Gail) Persinger, John (Michelle) Persinger, Richard (Dawn) Persinger, Kathryn (Mark) Helmke and Theresa (Gregg) Anderson. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Christ The King Catholic Church on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
