Kenneth H. Neese, 95, of Zionsville died Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012. Mr. Neese was born January 14, 1917 in Boone County, IN to John H. Spencer and Blanche M. Pipes Neese; they preceded him in death as did his wife Rosemary Klingler Neese and his brothers, Chester, John, Jr., Loren Francis, Charles, and Billy Lee Neese.
Mr. Neese faithfully served his country during World War II in the United States Army 209th Engineers. He was honorably discharged after service in theatres of combat which included India, Burma, and China. Kenneth was retired from Dow Chemical where he worked for many years in maintenance before his retirement in 1982. He was a long time member of American Legion Post No. 79 in Zionsville.
Mr. Neese is survived by his son, Kenneth F. L. Neese and his wife, Rosilyn; his daughter, Patricia Marie Neese Cain; his grandchildren, Barbara Schneider, Mary Watson, Paul Neese, and David Neese; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Evan, Brittainey, Jonathan, Paul Benjamin, James, Jeremy, Jessica, and Tori; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Kenneth is also survived by his brother, Dalton Eugene Neese; and his sister, Mary Maxwell.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 2 pm Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville with a service beginning at 2 pm. Burial with military honors will follow the service at Mts. Runn Cemetery, rural Zionsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post. 79, PO Box 332, Zionsville, IN 46077.
