Kenneth M. Gibbs

Kenneth M. Gibbs, Jr., 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He is the son of Kenneth M. Gibbs, Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Gibbs Henson. Kenny served his country in the Army and was a self- employed painter. He was a recent honors graduate of Kaplan College, a member of the NRA and a published poet. Kenny loved spending time outdoors; especially hunting and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed macramé and spending time with his family. Kenny is survived by his companion, Yvette Murray; children, Shane (LeAnn) Gibbs, Debbie (Joel) Campbell, Toni Gibbs; grandchildren, Destinee Campbell, Kenneth Gibbs, Joel Campbell, Jr., Zachry Gibbs and Jazmyn Evensen. He is also survived by his brothers, Darrell Gibbs, Herbert Henson, Jr. Gary Henson; and sister, Debbie (Gibbs) Runyan. Kenny was preceded in death by his father and step father, Herbert Henson, Sr. Funeral services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Decatur Township on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10am. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery – Waverly.
