Kenneth James Rodewald
Age 86, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Kenneth proudly served in the United States Marine Corp in both WW II and the Korean War. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #374 and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of United States Post #14000. He was also a member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Knights of Columbus, and St. Michaels's Catholic Church in Greenfield, IN. He participated in the Eli Lilly Bowling League for over 50 years. He was also a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Kenneth retired from Eli Lilly and Co after 36 years of loyal service. Kenneth is survived by his children, Dr. James Michael (Sandy), Kathleen Marie, John Matthew (Kay), Deborah Ann, Robert Timothy (Anne-Marie), Patricia Gail (Steven) Carrow, Brenda Diane (Jeff) Hanssen, 20 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and companion Suzanna Pritchard. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Herold) Rodewald of 59 ½ years. Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Hosparus in Louisville, KY.
