Kenneth Gilliam

Kenneth Elbert Gilliam 82, of Indianapolis, passed away April 20, 2011. He was born October 29, 1928 to the late Frank and Beulah Gilliam in Indianapolis. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion, Scottish Rite, and Petalpha Lodge #564 throughout his life. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha “Peggy” (Hoover) Gilliam; daughter, Lani (Gary Teeters) Gilliam; sister, Mary Ann Hazzard; and beloved grand-dog, Auggie. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Edward, Frank, and Robert Gilliam. Visitation for Kenneth will be held on Friday, April 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens; Good Shepherd Chapel, 9700 Allisonville Road. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m. at the chapel. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
