Kenneth Funke

Kenneth Joseph Funke 87, Indianapolis, passed away October 6, 2014. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 1, 1927 to the late, Donald J. and Clara (Breining) Funke. He was married for 53 years to Joan (Arszman) Funke who passed away in 2001. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Navy and during his career, Kenneth owned his own fire protection company. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and Cathedral Classmates '45. Kenneth is survived by daughters, Bonnie Funke and Debbie (Don) Baker; granddaughter, J'netta (John) Crawford; great grandchildren, Jax and Jaeden Crawford. He was preceded in passing by a great grandson, Jae Crawford. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Good Shepherd Chapel, with calling from 11am until the service time. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
