Kenneth 'Ed' Edward Stephens

Kenneth Edward Stephens, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away November 24, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 15, 1956 in Indianapolis. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Stephens, sister, Carolyn (Kip) Reeves; nieces and nephews, Brian(Shannon) Reeves, Kip(Julie) Reeves, Jr., Kristina(Craig) Durflinger; great nieces and nephews, Kippy, Karsen, Trace, Addison, Blake; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth V. Stephens. Ed graduated from Howe High School and attended Ball State University before becoming a realtor. He worked for Century 21 before becoming a broker and then starting his own company, Ed Stephens Realty. He also hosted his own talk radio show on WNTS. Ed was a member of the Friends of Garfield Park. He loved all sports, including the Indianapolis Colts, Pacer basketball, IU basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball. Target shooting on the Petty Farm was also a favorite pastime. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Friends are also invited to gather with the family following the service at the funeral home until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
