Kenneth Wayne Casey, 87, of Westfield passed away surrounded by his family on April 2, 2024. He was born December 20, 1936, the son of the late Cecil and Pauline (Stanley) Casey. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lou Clark, on August 19, 1956.
Kenny lived his entire life in Westfield. He graduated from Westfield High School where he was a 4-sport letterman and named all-county football player. He was a lifelong farmer and drove a school bus for Westfield Schools for 26 years. Kenny was an avid IU basketball fan and actively supported Westfield Shamrocks sports. He coached Little League baseball for several seasons and also coached youth football and basketball. He ran the chains during football games and kept the scoring book for basketball for many years.
He was a member of Westfield Friends Church and also attended Nspire Church.
He loved the West, especially The Grand Tetons, enjoyed reading and all kinds of music. He was a member of GWRR Association, traveling the US on his Honda Gold Wing with his wife and friends. Kenny and Betty retired to Sebring, Florida during the winter months, but always returned home to Westfield. He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee and loved spending time with his family. Kenny was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Lou Casey; three children, Michael Wayne (Lisa) Casey, Mark Timothy Casey, and Pamela Lou (Bryan) Kienitz; 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Jason (Amy), Chad (Brittany), Chase (Lindsay), Nicholas (Laura), Monica, Shannon (Michael), Emily, and Matthew; 14 great grandchildren; and a brother, Bill (Sheryl) Casey. He was preceded in passing by daughter-in-law, Susie Casey; and a sister, Janet Hunt.
The Family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice, and personal care givers: Shannin Grandstaff, Sabrina Ruffin, Jenni Ruffin, Ricky Ruffin and Mia Casey. The phenomenal care that these professionals provided exceeded all our expectations. We cannot thank them enough.
