Kemberly Kay Zieles, 55, of Knightstown, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on April 26, 1966 in Indianapolis to Charles D. and Brenda L. (Corbin) Handrick. Kem was a 1984 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she met her future husband, Richard J. Zieles. She worked as a dental assistant for many years but devoted the majority of her time to the greatest loves of her life, her family. Kem and her husband, Richard J. Zieles started their family on the eastside of Indianapolis and relocated to the southside of Indianapolis where they raised their three children. In 2011, they moved to Knightstown, IN, where they have resided since. Kem is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 33 years, Richard J. Zieles; her three children, Stefan Zieles, Hollie Strohl and Taylor Lewis; and two grandchildren, Jasper Lewis and Lynn Christopher Strohl III. She is also survived by her mother, Brenda Handrick; and three siblings, Kevin Handrick, Kenna Birch, and Kay Thorne. Kem was preceded in death by her father, Charles D. ‘Chuck’ Handrick in January of this year, along with her grandparents. Kem was a dedicated mother and wife first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Kem especially loved her new role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh and feel special. Kem made friends everywhere she went. To know Kem is to love her, she will be remembered by all who loved or met her. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14th from 9-11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a funeral service immediately following.
