Keith L. Martin
85, Indianapolis, passed away on October 18, 2012. Keith, a beloved father and devoted husband is the son of the late Howard and Ina Martin. Keith is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores Martin and sister, Katherine Rentchler.
Keith served his country in the U.S. Navy. After the war he attended Northwestern University and graduated with a degree in journalism. Keith was a correspondent for the United Press. He retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Indianapolis Literary Club, the Public Relations Society of America, and the Indianapolis Press Club. Keith was an avid tennis player which kept him competitive on the courts for many years.
Contributions may be made in Keith's honor to the Alzheimer's Association of Indianapolis or Meridian Street United Methodist Church, where both he and his wife have been faithful members. Keith's life reflected his religious faith.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Jane Martin, Indianapolis; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ralph Abifadel, Atlanta, GA; and son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Holly Martin, Kennesaw, GA; and granddaughter, Ilicia.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, 5500 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis.
